Seafood Clerk

Job Description Prepare and display Seafood items for sale in an efficient, sanitary and artistic manner and in accordance with company standards and policies. Perform customer service functions and follow all company policies and procedures. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. Responsibilities Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully and provide them with good quality foodsBe prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.Communicate with customers and associatesUnload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies – in compliance with Food Safety Policies and Procedures and Health Department regulationsPerform required temperature monitoringMonitor product quality; make sure it is always fresh and safeKeep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organizedKeep carts, tools, equipment and supplies in their designated areasWash and sanitize cookware and utensils in accordance with company and Health Department policies and proceduresMaintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and proper space allocation for merchandiseMaintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and proceduresAdhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal lawsMaintain flexibility to work weekends and holidays as neededOperate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicableMust be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation Qualifications Minimum Effective written and oral communication skills that engage our customers and associatesAbility to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletinsAbility to multi-task, set priorities, present information in a professional manner and work with all levels of the organization.Personal initiative and follow through to completionAbility to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentPossess abilities and skills for effective production, merchandising, and customer services related to sale of merchandiseMust be able to work with various cleaning solutions, safely use sharp tools, and carefully operate all production equipment Desired Past work record reflects dependability and integrityKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to employment practices, safety, and food handlingExperience in grocery retail, customer service, and food preparation
