Seafood Clerk
About the role
Prepare and display Seafood items for sale in an efficient, sanitary and artistic manner and in accordance with company standards and policies. Perform customer service functions and follow all company policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Engage customers and associates with effective written and oral communication
- Read and understand shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins
- Multi-task, set priorities, present information professionally, and work collaboratively within the organization
- Work independently and complete tasks to a high standard
- Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to company standards, recipes, and policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales areas, backrooms, and coolers
- Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils in accordance with company and Health Department policies and procedures
- Ensure proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and space allocation for merchandise
- Maintain equipment and facilities in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as state and federal laws
- Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable
