The Account Manager oversees logistics operations within a designated region, ensuring efficient and effective service to customers. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day logistics operations, including transport, warehousing, and distribution.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a broad base of customers, addressing their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Manage, train, and mentor regional staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Set and monitor KPIs for the region, ensuring operational targets are met and identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute regional logistics strategies aligned with company goals, considering market trends and customer requirements.
- Ensure all logistics operations comply with local regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
Requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or 4 years equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and distribution practices.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to manage a broad base of customers and maintain high satisfaction levels.
- Analytical skills to monitor performance metrics and optimize operations.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and systems.
