Responsibilities

  • Work in a globally distributed development team on AI Inference open-source software
  • Cultivate Equinix’s open-source presence and reputation in open-source organizations, standards bodies and more like Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Linux Foundation, etc.
  • Interact with stakeholder(s) to understand and document the product feature(s)
  • Provide a level of effort (LOE) for the product backlog
  • Work with technical project managers and product management teams to define a schedule
  • Aid in the analysis & evaluation of new technologies to meet the demand for product roadmap and technology platform goals
  • Assist in the evaluation and recommendation of appropriate technologies for product features and platform
  • Advocate and follow best design and development practices adhering to Engineering standards
  • Prioritize and parallelize the tasks in hand and deal with ad-hoc requests

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience or related experience in designing and building highly redundant network infrastructure with an emphasis on IPv4 and IPv6, IP Routing, RIB/FIB, BGP and PBR, IP and BGP routing to CSPs, Zero Trust, SDN and Cloud Networking
  • 5+ years of experience or related experience applying network and security principles within a cloud infrastructure deployment. Demonstrated experience in secure transport methods (SSH, TLS, IPSEC, Wireguard), IAM, VPCs and connectivity such as IaaS peering and VPN solutions
  • A deep understanding of OSI Layer and its application
  • A strong track record of delivering resilient network systems and services with a focus on delivering amazing experiences for end users
  • Strong hands-on technical skills. Can drill deep into the complex network system design and implementation when needed
  • Familiarity with APIs and designing solutions to leverage interfaces to build network automation or capabilities such as dashboarding or monitoring
  • Comfortable programming in languages such as Go, Python, C/C++, Rust
  • A DevOps mindset to improve CICD using GitHub Actions and review DORA metrics to improve processes

Pay

The targeted pay range for this position in the following locations is:

  • United States - Dallas Infomart Office: $118,000 - $176,000 USD / Annual
  • United States - Redwood City Office: $142,000 - $212,000 USD / Annual
