Sculpture Lab Tech/Studio Manager

About the role

This position involves managing the Sculpture Studios of the Art Department.

Responsibilities

• Shop and equipment maintenance
• Ordering supplies
• Basic bookkeeping
• Regular inventory
• Assisting students with projects
• Supervising student workers
• Monitoring student safety
• Maintaining studio safety procedures

Requirements

• Experience working in a sculpture studio or similar shop is required.
• Familiarity with all types of tools and processes is required.
• No specific degree is required.
• Candidates with an MFA or MA may have adjunct teaching opportunities in Foundation Drawing, Design, or Art Appreciation.
• Candidates with appropriate experience but no advanced degree may have the opportunity to teach Continuing Education courses.

Schedule and Salary

This is a part-time, hourly rate position. 20 hours/week throughout the school year and 10 hours/week during summer. All academic breaks off. Minimum 3 days/week.
