Responsibilities

• Responsible for the instruction of Navy candidates on the systems for defense of the ship and ships around them.
• Use Navy skills to teach the same skills to new candidates.
• Prepares and/or conducts training programs, teaches classes, holds seminars and discussion groups.
• Designs, develops, organizes, and delivers training programs to train all levels of personnel.
• Develops tests and visual aids, conducts training classes, and develops criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
• Creates teaching outlines in conformance with selected instructional methods, utilizing knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of training methods.
• Support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical discipline, and/or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
• Minimum of 8 years, prefer 10+ years of USN experience as an Aegis Fire Controlman.
• Must be current or recently former USN Fire Control Technician (AEGIS).
• Graduate of NAVY Aegis Computer Network C School.
• Graduate of NAVY Aegis A school.
• Specialized experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing of Aegis Computer Networks.
• Knowledge of Aegis Computer Networks including, but not limited to: Local Area Networks, Switch Blade Servers, Routers, Servers, VME Chassis Structure, Fiber Optics, and Digital Interfaces on the Aegis Baselines 7.2A, 8.2B, 9.A and 9.C.
• Possess AWS/ACNT NECs V00C/V69A, V01C/V75A, V48A, V60A, V68A. Master Training Specialist in support of SCSTC/ATRC/TACTRAGRU is a significant plus.
• Security Clearance Level: Secret.
• Must be able to travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay

The likely salary range for this position is $85,093 - $115,000.
