Scrum Master W2 Local Hybrid
This is a hybrid contract position based in Charlotte, NC, requiring onsite presence 3 days per week. Local candidates only.
About the role
Guides and coaches the Scrum Team on Agile practices and principles to deliver high-quality products and services. Helps the team reach a high-performing level by identifying strengths and areas for improvement, employing appropriate coaching and development techniques. Ensures Scrum is understood and adhered to, coaching the team in self-organization, cross-functional skills, domain knowledge, and effective communication. Works with internal and external stakeholders to influence decision-making and support organizational projects. Resolves team impediments with other Scrum Masters to enhance Scrum effectiveness and contributes to advancing Agile practices within the organization.
Acts as a leader who coaches and supports Agile teams primarily focused on Business as Usual (BAU) work, with some involvement in department initiatives and corporate projects.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and support all Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
- Coach the Scrum Team on Agile practices, self-organization, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ensure adherence to Scrum theory, practices, and guidelines.
- Work with Scrum Team and stakeholders to drive decision-making and support organizational initiatives.
- Resolve team impediments to increase Scrum effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Agile coaches and other Scrum Masters to grow within the role.
- Contribute to the advancement and improvement of Agile practices within the organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience as an Agile Scrum Master.
- 5+ years of experience with JIRA Issue and Project Tracking Software.
- Experience in financial services or banking systems.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience on large and complex projects (desired).
- Agile coaching experience (desired).
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (desired).
- Working knowledge of Lean Agile SDLC processes and deliverables.
- Experience in Application Lifecycle Management.
- Experience educating all levels of management within the Agile framework (portfolio, program, team).
- Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Process and detail-oriented.
- Accountability for meeting deliverable deadlines.
- Ability to foster strong collaboration among team members and help solve problems.
- Self-motivation, self-direction, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex, fast-paced environment without sacrificing quality or timelines.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $75.00/hour.
