Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary facilitator for the Agile software development team, ensuring adherence to Scrum principles and practices.
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
- Remove impediments and roadblocks to support the development team in meeting their commitments.
- Collaborate with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-defined, prioritized, and aligned with Air Force mission objectives.
- Monitor team progress using Agile metrics and provide regular reporting to stakeholders on team performance and sprint outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team culture.
- Coach team members and stakeholders on Agile best practices to continuously improve team performance and efficiency.
- Work closely with Air Force stakeholders to ensure alignment between project deliverables and mission needs.
Requirements
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Required: 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in a software development environment.
- Required: Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Required: Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and driving team engagement.
- Required: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Required: Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Required: Must hold, or be able to obtain, a Secret security clearance.
Preferred
- Prioritized: Experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Air Force software development efforts.
- Prioritized: Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar Agile certification.
- Prioritized: Familiarity with DoD Agile frameworks and processes, such as SAFe for Government or DoD DevSecOps practices.
- Prioritized: Understanding of Air Force mission priorities and operational requirements.
