Scrum Master

Location: Dallas, TX or Tampa, FL (Hybrid)

About the role

The AD Scrum Master applies broad technical knowledge of Agile methodology to manage the scrum process with geographically dispersed teams, ensuring exceptional product quality and timely, predictable project delivery. This role oversees cross-functional coordination, communication, requirements traceability, release management, test case management, and defect tracking to keep delivery on track.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with squad members and resolve issues by leveraging rapport and trust.
• Act as an enthusiastic change agent and peer, driving continuous learning and process improvements within the squads.
• Continuously seek and act on feedback to bring about positive changes.
• Understand the squad’s overall capacity and impediments impacting individual members, fostering a culture of sustainable execution by avoiding over-commitment.
• Coach the squad to contribute to squad-level decision-making for achieving common goals.
• Identify and resolve mindset impediments as they arise.
• Provide role-based coaching (PO, QA, Dev, etc.) and proactively facilitate coaching sessions with the squad.
• Ensure accurate and transparent communications to stakeholders with concise metrics and updates on progress, risks, and impediments.
• Support the Product Owner on release planning and coordinate the movement of code between environments.
• Participate in Scrum of Scrums meetings to ensure alignment on priorities, dependencies, and timelines.

Requirements

• Experience in Agile Development, with Scrum Master (or similar) experience.
• Previous software development lifecycle experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience or related school coursework experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• AI experience with tools like Kiro, Copilot, or other AI platforms is highly desirable.
• Scrum Master certification is a plus.
