Responsibilities
- Use of control board for scoreboard.
- Communicate with the on ice officials to start, operate, and record a hockey game.
- Maintain a legible, concise, and accurate scoresheet.
- Provide accurate stats to league statistician.
- Check players in by number and/or name on the scoresheet.
- Affix to our ice resurfacing team by moving the nets for ice cuts following each game.
- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of area.
- Positively interacts with all departments: Referees, Players, Coworkers and guests of the facility.
- Appropriately safeguard company property, access, and assets.
- Monitor and assist skating customers.
- Serve as first point of contact in case of injury.
- Ineracts and welcomes customers, issues skates, advises proper fit and lacing techniques.
Qualifications
- Willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to skate is recommended, but not required (for arena attendant shifts only).
- Displays self-motivation and ability to work unsupervised.
- Willing to serve as the off ice official for hockey games.
- General knowledge of hockey.
- Demonstrates sound judgment and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication.
- Proven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detail.
- Ability to use a phone or tablet to play music and enter an online scoresheet.
