Scientist / Senior Scientist, Robotics & Automation
for section headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule.
We need to include sections only if posting has real specific content. Let's extract content.
From posting:
- About Integrated Bio: description of company. This is not a required heading but could be "About the company"? Not listed. The instruction says use headings for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we should map content accordingly.
We have "About the Role" paragraph: description of role. That's "About the role". So we can put About the role
then
with that paragraph. Then responsibilities: bullet list after "You will•". Those are responsibilities. So we can make
Responsibilities
then- each bullet.
Then requirements: "You're a good fit if you have•" list. That's requirements/qualifications. Could be Requirements heading. We'll put
Requirements
with list. Then bonus points: could be Skills or Qualifications? Bonus points are additional desirable skills. Could beSkills
orQualifications
. Since we already used Requirements for mandatory, we can use Skills for bonus. Or Qualifications for both? The instruction: use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Skills). So we can have Requirements for mandatory, Skills for bonus. Then benefits: "What we offer" bullet list. That's Benefits. SoBenefits
with list. Then Pay: "Compensation & benefits" includes salary band etc. So we need Pay section. The posting includes salary band: $120K to $185K depending on experience and level, plus substantial equity and a performance bonus, commensurate with experience and cost of living. Also mentions benefits already covered. So we can put Pay section with that sentence. Schedule: location & logistics includes location, visa sponsorship, timing. That's schedule? Could be Schedule section: location, timing, visa sponsorship. We'll put Schedule. We must not include boilerplate like EEO etc. Remove that. We must not repeat job title as heading. Not include Job ID. We must preserve all substantive information. Ensure we don't omit details like location details, visa sponsorship, timing. Let's extract exact text. About Integrated Bio paragraph: "Integrated Bio (integratedbio.com) is a physical AI company developing multimodal biological datasets and AI for drug discovery, focusing on aging and age-related diseases. We are risk-takers, and we bet heavily that the future of societal health lies at the intersection of biological discovery, drug design, and AI. Our growing, star-studded team includes accomplished industry veterans and scientists from top universities, including Harvard, Princeton, and UCSB. Our team has deployed large-scale scientific discovery systems, brought drug candidates to the clinic, and published in Nature, Science, and Cell. We have accomplished all of this with no egos, and we are growing fast." We could include this as a separate section? Not in prescribed headings. Could be part of About the role? But it's about company. The instruction says use headings for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, etc. It didn't forbid other headings, but says "usefor section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." It implies we should use those headings for sections; we could also include other headings if needed? It says "use
for section headings (e.g. ...)" meaning those are examples; we could still use other headings but better to stick to those. The company description could be placed under About the role? Might be okay to include a brief intro before About the role. But we could also make a section "About the company" but not in list; risk of being considered filler? Probably better to include it as a paragraph before the About the role heading, as it's substantive. The instruction didn't forbid extra paragraphs outside headings. It said use
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities...). It didn't say we cannot have other headings, but to be safe we can just include a
before the first heading. Now responsibilities list: bullet points after "You will•". The bullet points are: - Design, integrate, and program robotic manipulation systems (arms, dexterous hands, grippers, sensors) for laboratory tasks - Build and operate teleoperation and demonstration-capture rigs, including egocentric video and tactile data pipelines for embodied AI training - Automate high-throughput experimental workflows: plate handling, sample logistics, and instrument integration, in partnership with our sequencing and HTS team - Develop and maintain the software stack for our robotic systems (ROS2, Python/C++), including simulation assets and digital twins of lab workflows - Define data formats, QC, and metadata standards with the AI team so every captured episode improves our models - Own uptime, safety, and documentation for all robotic and automation equipment Note the bullet points start with "You will•" and then each bullet separated by line break? In text they are separated by line breaks but no bullet symbol. We'll treat each line as a bullet. Now requirements list: after "You're a good fit if you have•". Bullets: - A Ph.D. in robotics, mechanical/electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field - Demonstrated experience integrating and programming real robotic hardware (manipulator arms, end effectors, and sensors) as well as simulation (e.g. Real2Sim) - Strong software skills in Python and C++, with production experience in ROS2 - Comfort with wiring, mounting, debugging, and making physical systems reliable in a working lab - The ability to learn and adapt quickly as part of a small team, and willingness to work hard in service of moving the needle on human aging Now bonus points: after "Bonus points for•". Bullets: - Teleoperation and imitation-learning experience (e.g., YAM teleop) and dexterous-hand integration - Simulation experience with MuJoCo or NVIDIA Isaac, including URDF/MJCF asset creation - Laboratory automation experience (liquid handlers, plate hotels, scheduling software) or prior work in a biology lab - Experience with egocentric or multi-camera video data pipelines for robot learning - Interest in the business of biotech, especially therapeutics and drug discovery Now benefits: after "What we offer•". Bullets: - Impact: You will play a key role in the work that drives our mission to cure age-related diseases. As an early hire, you will help shape the direction of the company, and your efforts will directly advance therapies with the potential to transform healthcare. - People: You will work alongside a team of top-tier scientists and engineers, and directly with our founders, Dr. Felix Wong and Prof. Max Wilson. Our alumni have co-authored high-impact scientific papers and gone on to highly successful career trajectories. - Flexibility: We cultivate an environment that is respectful of personal life and less rigid than academia or a large company. Joining us is like joining a family. We don't expect you to hang out with us outside of normal working hours, but it's likely you'll occasionally do so anyway because we're so fun. Now location & logistics: "Location & logisticsThis role is located at Redwood LIFE in Redwood City, CA, a modern and stunning life sciences complex in the Bay Area, with time at our vivarium and tissue processing site in San Carlos, CA as needed.Visa sponsorship available where applicable. We'll work with you to make it happen. Timing: search underway September to December 2026; target start November 2026 to January 2027." We need to put this in Schedule section. Could also include location details. Now Pay: "Compensation & benefitsSalary band: $120K to $185K depending on experience and level (Scientist to Senior Scientist), plus substantial equity and a performance bonus, commensurate with experience and the cost of living in the San Francisco Bay Area.Integrated Bio offers all its employees exceptional benefits, including full health insurance coverage for you and a dependent, 401(k) plans, free lunch, vacation and sick days, and other longevity-related benefits." We already captured benefits in Benefits section; but Pay section should include salary band etc. The benefits sentence duplicates some benefits; we can keep Pay section focusing on salary and equity/bonus. We'll avoid repeating benefits already listed. Now we need to ensure we don't include boilerplate like EEO etc. Remove that. Now produce HTML fragment. Structure:

About the role
We are looking for a Scientist or Senior Scientist to build the robotic layer of our closed-loop discovery engine. This is a ground-floor role with a dual mandate: automate our high-throughput experimental workflows so the engine runs faster, and build the embodied data-capture systems (teleoperated manipulation rigs, dexterous hands, and egocentric video pipelines) that turn our laboratory into a source of physical AI training data. You will be our first dedicated robotics hire, working directly with our founders and our biology, chemistry, and AI teams. You will own hardware end to end: integrating and programming arms, dexterous end effectors, sensors, and lab automation equipment, and making them do real scientific work in a real wet lab. If you want your robots to touch living systems and your data to train the models that move the needle on human aging, we want to hear from you.
