About the role

  • Propose hypothesis-driven target molecules based on emerging structure-activity relationships, optimizing compounds so as to impact and advance lead series.
  • Solve complex synthesis problems using state-of-the-art methodology and collaborate with colleagues to enable team productivity.
  • Maintain a high level of expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.
  • Use strong communication (both verbal and technical) and interpersonal skills to communicate objectives and results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6 years’ experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years’ experience.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Molecular Chemistry (preferred).

Pay

The salary range for this position is $146,540.00 - $189,640.00. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role).
