Scientist II, Biology Development

About the role

The incumbent will work as a member of the biology group that is responsible for biocompatibility testing on medical devices and materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform biocompatibility testing on medical devices and materials in accordance with FDA regulations and ISO 10993.
• Conduct chemical testing as required by FDA for medical devices and/or therapeutics.
• Document test results and prepare reports for regulatory submissions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in biocompatibility or chemical testing.
• Experience with ISO 10993 and FDA regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of biocompatibility testing methods and techniques.
• Experience with laboratory equipment and instrumentation used in biocompatibility testing.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic understanding of statistical analysis software (e.g., Excel).
