Scientist II
Job Summary
The Scientist II is responsible for planning, executing, and analyzing laboratory experiments related to liquid automation, analytical chemistry, and associated technologies. The role contributes to research and development projects through independent technical work, data interpretation, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, document, and analyze laboratory experiments.
- Conduct validations and verifications of liquid handling instrumentation and associated technologies.
- Apply scientific judgment to interpret experimental data and recommend technical decisions.
- Maintain detailed laboratory documentation and data records.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary R&D projects supporting product development and customer applications.
- Recommend technical approaches that support project goals.
- Participate in project teams and contribute to milestone delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior scientists, interns, and new employees.
- Support knowledge transfer and technical skill development within the team.
- Support partner teams including: Production, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Technical Support, Marketing.
- Contribute to application notes, presentations, and technical documentation.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

- Ability to work in a laboratory environment with exposure to chemicals or biological materials.
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Occasional bending, reaching, or movement within lab environment.
