Position : Scientist I (Analytical chemistry and/or in vitro biological testing) Location : Salt Lake City, UT Duration : 12 Months Total Hours/week : 40 pay rate:$20-30/hr 1st Shift Client : Medical Devices Company Job Category : Research & Development Level of Experience : Entry - Level Employment Type : Contract on W2 (Need US Citizens or GC Holders or GC EAD or OPT or EAD or CPT) Work hours: M - F day shift. Flexible on hours Roles Job Description: Provide technical skill, analytical testing, and engineering support for materials analysis and technology development activities for various medical device products. Support current products in roles of quality, research & development, pilot-scale manufacturing, supply continuity, and cost improvement.Focus will be on materials analysis and thermomechanical testing using instruments in the lab.Execute technical and cross-functional project work Must Haves Bachelor’s degree or higher in a STEM major (Examples: Chemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, materials science).Experience / understanding of working in a lab. Lab work experience a strong plus.Ability to write detailed technical protocols and reports.Strong communication skillsStrong ability to learnHas a preference for candidates with hands-on chemistry, synthesis, or analysis experience / relevant degreeAll candidates should have a bachelor's degree, and the specific degrees are called out below.
