About the Role
The candidate will provide expert engineering advice and assistance to the 412 EWG/JSE in the Scientist and Engineer field, applying analytical techniques to solve problems, plan for future technologies, conduct research and development, and define system requirements.
Responsibilities
- Serve as an Information System Security Officer (ISSO) for the 412th Test Wing Electronic Warfare Group Joint Simulation Environment, supporting security and acquisition programs.
- Provide electronic warfare, systems engineering, and security expertise to plan and execute the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) project.
- Oversee or independently manage staff assigned to the JSE project.
- Offer strategic advice and technical guidance to optimize JSE development.
- Obtain and maintain a DOD Security+ Certification and Department of Defense fundamentals professional certification within six months of employment.
- Apply knowledge of Automated Information System (AIS) and Information Assurance (IA) requirements, including DoD and NSA regulations for Special Access Programs (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Utilize Risk Management Framework (RMF) for technical writing, project management, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documentation.
- Use government-approved software tools to identify and test security control points of information systems.
- Write systems security plans, certification and accreditation packages, test plans, operation instructions, and program procedures.
- Evaluate and implement multi-operating level AIS physical, emissions, communications, and operational security requirements.
- Research, interpret, and apply complex guidance, regulations, laws, and policies related to information assurance.
- Provide strategic advice and support for acquisition documentation, including statements of work and fact-finding studies.
- Deliver systems engineering support in areas such as concept exploration, requirements definition, technical reviews, risk management, integration planning, and methodology development.
- Identify hardware, software, or equipment requirements and specifications.
- Develop, update, and review system requirements documents, development plans, and project management plans.
- Assess technology, intelligence, and engineering options to meet system requirements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of related experience or a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. TOP SECRET security clearance and eligibility for Special Access Program (SAP) and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
- Must obtain DOD Security+ Certification and Department of Defense fundamentals professional certification within six months of employment.
- Valid driver’s license for company business travel.

$120,000 - $125,000
Schedule
