Scientist - Data Reviewer - Bioanalytical LCMS Assay Services - M - F Second Shift

About the Role

This is a fully onsite role based at our 8700 Quioccasin Road location in Richmond, VA. We welcome applicants from all locations within the US. Relocation assistance is not provided for this position. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship and able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.

Schedule

This position works Monday to Friday, 2:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. EST (Second Shift).

Environmental Conditions

• Laboratory setting with some office work
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.
• Exposure to potentially hazardous elements, including infectious agents, typically found in laboratory environments

Responsibilities

• Train on routine operation, maintenance, and theory of analytical instrumentation, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform a variety of routine to complex sample preparation and analysis procedures with minimal supervision to quantitatively measure pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical compounds in various formulations and/or biological matrices for stability and analytical testing.
• Complete all laboratory documentation clearly, accurately, and according to SOP and GLPs.
• Independently troubleshoot equipment and instruments; mentor others in troubleshooting when applicable.
• Review and compile results, making initial determinations on acceptability per SOP acceptance criteria.
• Perform work assignments accurately, timely, and safely.
• Manage QC responsibilities independently.
• Communicate project status to project leaders, identify gaps, and anticipate roadblocks in workflow.
• Complete QA-facing tasks with minimal supervisor/QA input.
• Author low-complexity quality records and participate in the OOS/OOT/Atypical investigation process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualification, or a Master’s degree.
• Previous experience (comparable to 2+ years) that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job, or an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to pass a comprehensive background check, including a drug screening.

Pay

The hourly pay range for this position based in Virginia is $28.00–$29.00. This position may also be eligible for a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance.
