About the role
As a Scientist in the Pharma Services team, you are responsible for planning, executing, and directing scientific research and manufacturing process strategies to advance new and existing products. In this role, you will apply advanced technical knowledge to design robust experiments, analyze critical data, and collaborate across teams to ensure high-quality execution from concept through completion.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute laboratory research and development activities for assigned products, methods, and processes
- Design and run rigorous experiments utilizing Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies where appropriate
- Analyze complex data, evaluate experimental results, form sound scientific conclusions, and implement document or process improvements
- Identify technical challenges and create potentially patentable components for systems, reagents, or processes
- Participate actively in cross-functional technical teams, project planning, and regular process update sessions
- Prepare and deliver clear, high-quality presentations of project results to internal cross-functional groups
- Monitor laboratory work to ensure strict quality standards and continuously promote a "Quality First Time" culture
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant scientific field with at least 8 years of relevant experience is required (Degrees in non-scientific fields require Executive Committee approval)
- Ph.D. in a relevant scientific field; OR Master’s Degree in a relevant scientific field with at least 3 years of relevant experience is preferred
- Demonstrate strong foundational understanding of state-of-the-art scientific principles, concepts, and theoretical research techniques

- Strong collaborative skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross-functional technical teams and share expertise
- Advanced technical writing skills with a strong track record of producing clear reports, documentation, and scientific summaries

Pay
The expected salary range for this position based on Arizona is $82,700.00 - $135,093.00 USD annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
