Scientific - Laboratory Technician (Entry Level)

Description

The Scientific - Laboratory Technician (Entry Level) position is a 17-month contract with a potential for extension. Located in Miami, FL, this role pays $21.84 - $22.84/hr on a W2 contract with no PTO or benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package is available for enrollment.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Perform preparation of reagents and controls
• Perform daily and weekly maintenance of equipment per SOPs and any other applicable documentation
• Maintain laboratory and equipment clean and functional (on the job training will be provided)
• Perform all tasks related to clinical sample testing (blood, urine), including sample receipt, log-in, sample preparation and testing, recording test results, and disposing of samples
• Organize stock and maintain inventory; order stock as needed
• Adhere to existing safety standards and help improve laboratory safety practices whenever possible
• Provide support to direct and extended R&D team as necessary

CORE REQUIREMENTS

• Associate Degree with 3 years’ experience
• 4-year bachelor’s degree (Chemistry, Biology, or other STEM related field) with 0-2 years’ experience
• Experience with urine chemistry and/or hematology diagnostic testing and instrumentation preferred

$21.84 - $22.84/hr
