About the role

The Scientific Director, Center for Research in Women’s Health Science (CREWHS) will lead the center's research initiatives, manage the annual RFA process, and mentor junior researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor junior multidisciplinary researchers engaged in women’s health or sex differences research
  • Manage CREWHS annual RFA process including the evaluation and selection process for distribution of research grants
  • Continue their own research, manage their research team, and retain funding
  • Foster innovation in research, clinical care, education, and policy related to women’s health
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary sex-based research by providing seed funding, promoting interactions, and offering education and training
  • Create a public awareness campaign to address gaps in knowledge about women’s health

Requirements

  • Doctorate (MD or PhD or both)
  • Three (3) or more years’ experience in Women’s Health research
  • Evidence of research funding in women’s health research
  • National or international prominence with proven abilities as Principal Investigator and mentor
  • Demonstrated ability in research mentoring
  • Computer competency comprised of a working knowledge of Windows and/or a comparable operating system

Qualifications

Pay

$71,000 - $260,000 Base Compensation

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
