Scientific - Assistant Scientist

Position Overview

The Associate Scientist/Engineer is responsible for supporting studies to establish oral solid formulations. This includes execution of laboratory and pilot plant work, design of experimental formulation studies, and conducting material characterization and formulation testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct development activities related to developing oral formulations.
• Perform oral product batch processing, material characterization, and formulation testing.
• Design and optimize formulations using a design of experiments approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or a related engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred).
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
• Previous experience in oral formulation development and processing required.
• Experience with oral formulation preparation and testing techniques preferred.
• Knowledge of formulation development.
• Knowledge of oral product processing (blending, tableting, encapsulation, etc.).
• Familiarity with data trending and tracking; use of statistical analysis software is a plus.
• Demonstrated advanced problem‑solving ability, technical adeptness, and logical thinking.
• Ability to communicate honestly, transparently, and effectively with peers, department management, and cross‑functional teams.

Pay

$36.32‑$38.53 per hour.
