About the role

The Niagara Falls City School District seeks passionate and dedicated General Science and Earth Science Teachers for the 2026-2027 school year. They are looking for dynamic, collaborative, flexible, and engaging educators committed to inspiring student curiosity, fostering scientific inquiry, and promoting academic excellence.

Responsibilities

• Teach General Science and Earth Science courses to students in grades 7-12
• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with district curriculum standards
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to enhance learning outcomes
• Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student engagement
• Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that supports diverse student needs
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units and projects
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in science education

Requirements

• New York State Certification in General Science and/or Earth Science
• Experience in teaching General Science and Earth Science to students in grades 7-12
• Ability to integrate technology effectively into the classroom
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Education or related field preferred
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Passion for science education and a commitment to student success

Competitive salary based on education and teaching experience
