About the role

New Haven Public Schools seeks to hire a Teacher-Science - Biology/Integrated Science. The position is contingent upon degree and years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Biology or Integrated Science courses
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state standards
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methods into the classroom
  • Mentor and collaborate with other educators
  • Participate in professional development activities

Requirements

  • Must possess and maintain certification as established by Connecticut State Statutes: Biology (030) preferable, but any certification in integrated science, chemistry, physics, earth science, general science accepted
  • Experience teaching Biology or Integrated Science is preferred

Pay

Salary range for the 26-27 School Year: $53,220 - $108,047, contingent on degree and years of experience.

Schedule

Full-time position, 180 days per year.
