Science Teacher

About the role

Anchor Academy - Berkley Campus is seeking a licensed Science Teacher to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching middle and high school aged students and will be enthusiastic, patient, and able to work with students in a clinically appropriate manner while maintaining a challenging learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Teach science curriculum aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Framework
• Utilize and apply the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Common Core Science Standards
• Work collaboratively with the educational, clinical, nursing, and vocational departments
• Provide individual, group, nursing, and milieu counseling
• Implement ARC (Attachment, Self-Regulation, and Competency) and BCC (Building Communities of Care) treatment frameworks

Requirements

• Massachusetts teaching certification by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Ages 5 -12)
• Must be 21 years or older
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written) and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of the needs of the population served; understanding of the range of interventions and treatment required by this population

Pay

The pay range for this position is $52,000 to $94,000 per year. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications.
