Science Teacher

Fusion Academy is a fully accredited 1‑to‑1 private school for grades 5‑12. As a Science Teacher you’ll have the flexibility to shape your schedule, design creative lessons, and collaborate with passionate colleagues. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees or a teaching credential is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to teach a wide range of science courses (Earth, Physical, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Astronomy, Earth Space, Anatomy & Physiology, Marine Biology, & Zoology), following content standards—curriculum and resources provided.
• Experience working with students, including those with learning differences, neurodiversity, accelerated learning needs, and/or mental‑health challenges.
• Mentoring experience and a passion for social‑emotional learning.
• Outgoing, adaptable, and eager to thrive in a dynamic, student‑centered environment.
• Skilled with technology, curious about innovation, and open to learning new tools.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• A growth mindset with the flexibility to pivot and problem‑solve as needed.
• Florida residents require level 2 background screening through Florida Clearinghouse.

Schedule

This position requires availability from 8:30 am – 3:30 pm. It will be part‑time to start, with plans to grow into full‑time.

Pay

USD $27.30 per hour
