About the role

Birch Agency is seeking Middle School Science Teachers to join our team in Stamford, CT for the 2026/2027 school year. As a Science Teacher, you will create an engaging and interactive learning environment while teaching various scientific concepts and theories. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science and education, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to students.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
• Teach various scientific subjects, such as biology, chemistry, physics, and environmental science
• Utilize a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles
• Conduct experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding
• Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth
• Maintain a safe and organized classroom environment
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall educational experience

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level
• Strong knowledge of scientific concepts and theories
• Familiarity with instructional design principles and learning technologies
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science
• CT Active state teaching license
