Science Teacher

EDU-AIDs is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th Grade Science Teacher to support middle school students in West Haven, Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging science lessons aligned with Connecticut curriculum standards.
• Teach scientific concepts through classroom instruction, hands-on activities, and experiments.
• Assess student progress and provide additional academic support as needed.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Apply effective classroom management strategies appropriate for middle school students.
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and school staff to support student success.
• Maintain accurate student records and follow all school policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Education, or a related field.
• Valid Connecticut teaching certification with the appropriate science endorsement for Grade 7.
• Strong knowledge of middle school science concepts and instructional practices.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and support students with diverse learning needs.
