Science Teacher at BHS

Approximate start date: August 18th, 2026. This is a full-time, 189-working day contract position with benefits.

About the Role

The School District of Baraboo is seeking a full-time Science Teacher at Baraboo High School for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a variety of interesting and motivating science activities.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and exemplary classroom management skills.
• Utilize best practices in teaching and collaborate within a professional learning community.
• Build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff to cultivate a sense of belonging.
• Familiarity with common core standards and culturally responsive teaching.

Requirements

• Possess a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction license (#1610, #1601, #1635, #1605, #1634, or other appropriate license).
• Experience with diverse student populations (special needs, racially, culturally, socio-economically varied) is preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Payroll is processed on the 15th and last day of each month.

The School District of Baraboo serves EC-12 students with a 4K program, five elementary schools, one middle school, and one high school, totaling 2,700 students. The district employs approximately 255 certified teachers and 175 non-certified staff. Baraboo is located in Sauk County, known for its scenic beauty.
