Science Teacher - 1.0 FTE - West Middle School

Shakopee Public Schools is seeking an 8th Grade Science Teacher (1.0 FTE) to join the team at West Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year.

About the Role

Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability, creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, and works collaboratively with other staff members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver science instruction tailored to students' abilities

• Build and maintain effective relationships with students, parents, and staff
• Collaborate with other educators and staff members

Requirements

• Valid Minnesota teaching license in Science 5-8
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents, and staff

Pay

Salary ranges between $52,020 to $126,971 annually, depending on education level and experience.
