About the role

SCR Medical Transportation LLC is now hiring part-time Special Education School Van Drivers. Located at 8801 S Greenwood Ave., Chicago, IL 60619. The position offers a flexible, part-time schedule with summers off, paid training, and starting pay at $20.50/hour ($18.00/hour during training).

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school and activities
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Conduct child checks after each route
• Use navigation tools to plan efficient routes
• Maintain a clean, fueled, and well-maintained vehicle
• Keep accurate mileage and maintenance records
• Interact with students, parents, and staff in a professional manner
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of driving experience with no breaks/gaps and no more than 1 moving violation in that time period
• Candidates cannot have any DUI/DWI on their driving record
• Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation physical
• A pre-employment background check and drug screen are required
• Must be at least 23 years of age
• Valid Driver’s License
• Must be able to obtain a School Bus Eligibility Receipt from the DMV (Required at the time of interview)
