School Van Driver

About the role

As a First Student Part Time School Van Driver in New Castle, PA, you will provide safe transportation for students with before‑school pickup and after‑school drop‑off, working a split shift that leaves free hours in between. No prior van‑driving experience is required; paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Conduct early morning before‑school pickups.
• Provide afternoon drop‑off to bring students safely home.
• Maintain vehicle safety and follow all DOT safety regulations.
• Optionally work additional hours through trips and charters when available.

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years.
• English proficiency (required for training, safety communications, and company policies).
• Subject to DOT drug testing as a safety‑sensitive employee (including marijuana prohibited under 49 CFR Part 40).

Qualifications

• No college degree or high school diploma required.
• Military experience welcomed.
