School to Work – Supply Chain Planning (Student)

We are looking for a talented Supply Chain Planning student to join our team at the Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.

About the role

In this role, you will make an impact by:

• Learning key supply chain operations and supporting daily business activities.
• Gathering and analyzing data from multiple sites to support decisions.
• Developing training materials that promote process consistency.
• Identifying trends and opportunities through data analysis.
• Collaborating with teams to support operational goals.
• Maintaining accurate and reliable supply chain data.
• Supporting process improvement initiatives using data-driven insights.

Responsibilities

• Support order lifecycle management for the North America Order Management Team.
• Balance multiple stakeholders within different divisions of the business.

Requirements

• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office tools to efficiently complete and support business tasks.
• Adapt quickly and learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Effectively manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
• Work independently while collaborating with teams when needed.
• Apply academic knowledge and a strong learning mindset to contribute to business objectives.
• Must be 16 years of age, in high school or post-secondary school.
• Transportation is required to and from the office.

Qualifications

• No GPA requirement.
• Previous customer service or support skills are preferred.

Schedule

This is a part-time role, capped at 19 hours per week (averaging just under four hours per day).
