About the role

The School Staff Nurse provides essential health services to students, ensuring their physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs are met.

Responsibilities

• Delivering clinical care such as routine check-ups, special needs support, and emergency first aid
• Maintaining accurate health records
• Participating in educational initiatives
• Communicating effectively with management, parents, school authorities, and healthcare teams
• Applying knowledge of departmental, school, state, and federal policies, along with adherence to guidelines
• Additional duties as needed to ensure comprehensive student health support

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (or obtaining it within five years)
• Valid RN licensure
• BLS certification

Preferred experience

• 1-2 years of healthcare experience, preferably in pediatric or school settings
• Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
