School Speech-Language Pathologist - 2025-2026 School Year

About the Role

Seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in a K–12 setting. The role involves providing evidence-based speech and language therapy, conducting screenings, participating in assessments, and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication and academic access.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy aligned with IEP goals
• Prepare materials for therapy sessions
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Attend meetings as needed
• SLPs may supervise SLPA staff under district guidelines
• Serve multiple school sites within district guidelines

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders (for SLP candidates)
• B.S./B.A. in a related field (for SLPA candidates)
• Valid South Carolina licensure or eligibility
• Experience in school settings preferred
• Strong documentation skills and knowledge of IEP processes
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
