About the Role
Seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a school-based position in a K–12 setting. The role involves providing evidence-based speech and language therapy, conducting screenings, participating in assessments, and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication and academic access.
Responsibilities
- Deliver therapy aligned with IEP goals
- Prepare materials for therapy sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation
- Attend meetings as needed
- SLPs may supervise SLPA staff under district guidelines
- Serve multiple school sites within district guidelines
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences & Disorders (for SLP candidates)
- B.S./B.A. in a related field (for SLPA candidates)
- Valid South Carolina licensure or eligibility
- Experience in school settings preferred
- Strong documentation skills and knowledge of IEP processes
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
