About the role

The School Services School Visual Impairments Teacher position is available for a local contract in Phoenix, Arizona.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and support to students with visual impairments.
• Implement specialized teaching methods and materials to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and caregivers to develop individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Assist students in accessing educational resources and accommodations.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and needs.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid teaching license in the state of Arizona.
• Experience working with students who have visual impairments.
• Knowledge of assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs.
