About the Role
Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Visually Impaired to join our team in Bel Air, MD, and make a meaningful impact during the 2026–2027 school year.
Position Overview
- Provide itinerant TVI and consultative services to students with visual impairments across K-12 campuses
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and deliver direct instruction in Braille, screen readers, low vision aids, and compensatory skills
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to ensure appropriate accommodations and access to the curriculum
- Coordinate with school teams to manage caseload needs, including scheduling, progress updates, and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education, Visual Impairments, or Special Education
- Active Maryland Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Certification
- Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting providing direct and consultative services; Braille proficiency strongly preferred
Pay
Earn $40.00 - $46.10 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
