American Medical Staffing is seeking a School Services School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant for a local contract job in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Job Details

• Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – Schools
• Location: St. Louis, MO
• Setting: School-Based (Pre-K through 12, depending on assignment)
• Pay Range: $33.50 - $43.50 hourly (based on experience)
• Schedule: Full Time or Part Time available; 30-40 hours/week (rotating or variable shifts to meet operational needs)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (initial assignment with possibility of extension)

Requirements

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant license/certification
• Willing to obtain Missouri state licensure
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an SLPA in school settings (preferred)
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation, data collection, and progress monitoring
• Commitment to collaborative teamwork with educators, therapists, and families
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to supporting students with speech and language needs

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AAC devices and autism spectrum disorder interventions
• Ability to manage caseloads involving diverse student populations
• Participation in IEP meetings and report writing

Responsibilities

• Support and implement therapy plans designed by supervising SLPs, focusing on building student communication skills.
• Collect and analyze data, monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly.
• Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to ensure students receive tailored services.
• Aid in developing and executing therapy goals aligned with IEPs.
• Participate in team meetings, report writing, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
