Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-language pathology/Communications Sciences and Disorders
• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist - Assistant by the Texas Department of Licensing Regulation (TDLR)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in a school setting
• Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists for students
• Conduct speech, language, and hearing screening as directed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist
• Implement the treatment program or the individual education plan (IEP) as designed by the supervising licensed speech-language pathologist
• Work with classroom teachers to implement classroom activities to improve communication skills of students
• Create an environment conducive to learning and appropriate for maturity level and interests of students
