About the role
Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support preschool students in Chicago Ridge, IL. The position involves providing speech-language services for preschool students during scheduled FMLA coverage assignments, including screenings, evaluations, and direct therapy to support early communication development. The SLP will manage a preschool caseload while maintaining compliant documentation, progress reports, and service minutes. They will partner with families, classroom teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication goals into the daily learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide speech-language services for preschool students during scheduled FMLA coverage assignments, including screenings, evaluations, and direct therapy to support early communication development.
- Manage a preschool caseload while maintaining compliant documentation, progress reports, and service minutes.
- Partner with families, classroom teachers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate communication goals into the daily learning environment.
- Provide consistent speech-language support and continuity of services during scheduled FMLA coverage periods: 8/17/26–11/6/26 and 10/12/26–1/8/27.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist (Non-Teaching) endorsement
- Experience working with preschool-aged students preferred
