About the Role
Cross Country Education is seeking a School Special Education Teacher for a local contract position in Litchfield Park, Arizona. This role involves providing individualized instruction and behavioral support to elementary students with autism spectrum disorders in a structured, inclusive learning environment for the 2026–2027 school year.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Use data-driven practices to evaluate student progress and adjust instruction.
- Apply evidence-based instructional strategies, including structured teaching, positive behavior supports, and visual supports to promote academic, social, and functional growth.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and school staff to foster student success.
- Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active Arizona Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
- Experience developing and implementing IEPs, conducting student assessments, and applying evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies for students with autism spectrum disorders.
Pay
Competitive pay ranging from $50.00 to $51.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Weekly pay with opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
Schedule
- 41-week contract for the 2026–2027 school year.
- 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts.
- Consistent full-time schedule with paid sick leave.
