School Services - School Special Education Teacher - $1,850 per week

AHS Staffing is seeking a School Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Oswego, Illinois. Start date is as soon as possible for a 13-week assignment, 35 hours per week, 12-hour day shifts.

About the Role

Full-time position split between an Elementary school and Junior High. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:50 AM to 3:15 PM. This role focuses on teaching students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting curriculum to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and other support staff to ensure accessibility and inclusion.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed records and communicating with families and educational teams.
• Provide assistive technology support and implement strategies to enhance communication.
• Travel onsite as required across grade levels within the school to support students effectively.
• Develop teaching strategies, approaches, specialist materials, and resources to support deaf pupils.

Requirements

• Degree in Deaf Education.
• State teaching license.
