Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to students with disabilities in a structured, supportive school environment.
• Develop and implement engaging, differentiated lessons that address students’ academic, developmental, behavioral, and functional needs.
• Monitor student progress, maintain appropriate documentation, and adjust instructional strategies to support individual goals and growth.
• Collaborate with families, related service providers, and school staff to create a consistent, student-centered approach to learning and development.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree preferred
• Valid New York State Teacher Certification required; Special Education Certification preferred
• Prior experience working with students with disabilities strongly preferred
• Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
