About the Role
Provide specialized instruction and academic support to middle and high school students with diverse learning needs in the Bronx, NY during the 2026–2027 school year. Develop and implement individualized educational strategies that promote academic and social growth. Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to monitor progress and develop strategies that support student success. Foster an inclusive, engaging classroom through proactive instruction and effective classroom management.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students with diverse learning needs.
- Create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to support academic and social development.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to track student progress and refine strategies.
- Maintain an inclusive, engaging classroom environment through effective classroom management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Valid New York State Special Education Teaching Certification.
- 3+ years of special education teaching experience preferred.
Pay
$45.50 - $46.70 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Weekly pay with opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
Schedule
40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts.
