School Services - School Special Education Teacher - $45-46 per hour

About the Role

Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year in Lancaster, SC. This local contract position involves adapting curriculum to meet the diverse academic and functional needs of students with various disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead either Resource, Co-Taught, or Self-Contained classrooms across K-12 settings.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for caseloads ranging from 12 to 33 students.
• Supervise assistants and implement specialized behavioral or moderate-needs strategies.
• Partner with general education teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate inclusive practices and monitor student progress toward annual goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid South Carolina Certification in Multi-Categorical (ED, MD, EMD, or TMD/Severe also accepted).
• Prior experience working with school-aged students (Preferred).

Pay & Benefits

• Compensation: $45.20 - $46.10 per hour, based on experience and qualifications, with weekly pay and opportunities for bonuses and incentives.
