School Services - School Special Education Teacher - $1,871 per week

About the role

AHS Staffing is seeking a School Services Special Education Teacher for a travel assignment in Anoka, Minnesota. The position is also described as a Developmental Adaptive Physical Education Teacher (DAPE) in the Blaine, MN area, supporting students with diverse learning needs by creating inclusive and personalized educational plans.

Responsibilities

• Accommodate, modify, and adapt lessons and curriculum to meet individual student needs and IEP goals.
• Support the facilitation of IEP meetings and assist in the development of IEPs.
• Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to developmental levels and interests.
• Set and communicate clear expectations for classroom behavior, applying positive reinforcement and behavior‑modification techniques as needed.
• Assist in the development and implementation of student behavior intervention plans.

Qualifications

• MN DAPE License required.
• Experience supporting students with special education needs.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 37.5 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
