School Services - School Physical Therapist - $42 per hour
Supplemental Health Care is working with a school district in Cheektowaga, New York to hire a School Physical Therapist for a local contract position.
About the role
This is a 22-week contract role starting as soon as possible. The position requires 37 hours per week with an 8-hour day shift. The role involves developing and implementing educational and therapy programs based on evaluation results, assessing student needs, maintaining accurate records, and monitoring progress toward goals. You may be asked to travel between school locations and supervise assistants.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement educational and therapy programs based on evaluation results
- Evaluate students to identify needs and determine eligibility for therapy services
- Collect therapy data, maintain accurate student records, and monitor progress toward student goals
- Work collaboratively and communicate with the school interdisciplinary team and student guardians
- May travel between school locations
- May supervise assistants
Requirements
- New York Physical Therapist License
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Prior experience with pediatrics or in a school setting is preferred but not required
Pay
$38.95 - $41.95 per hour. A $3,000 assignment bonus is available (conditions apply; ask recruiter for details). Estimated weekly payment may include both taxable wages and tax-free reimbursements for meals, housing, and incidentals.
