About the role

The School Safety Officer/Constable assists the school administration and the Director of Student Services in maintaining a safe, orderly, and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain surveillance cameras and monitor visitor access.
• Serve as a positive role model and provide safety training to staff.
• Conduct routine safety assessments and provide feedback to administration.
• Assist with student incidents and investigations.
• Engage in ongoing trainings to maintain skills and safety practices.
• Participate in district and school safety teams.
• Provide crowd control during school hours and after school hours.
• Assist with various school duties as requested.

Qualifications

• Delaware School Constable Certification (must be obtained upon employment).
• A high school diploma or GED.
