School Safety Officer

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Previous experience in law enforcement is required, and school resource officer experience is preferred.
• Must meet local licensing requirements as a security officer, as defined through St. Charles County.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, staff, and the community.
• Excellent decision-making ability, demonstrating a high degree of initiative, independent judgement, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in conflict de-escalation and emergency response techniques.
• The ability to carry a firearm, in accordance with local laws and district policies.

Location: TBD (3 positions available)

Pay Rate: Commensurate with experience; minimum of $25.23 per hour
