About the Role

WorkFit Medical Staffing is seeking a dedicated and caring Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a School Nurse in Albany, NY. This is a per diem position with shifts available Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday from 7am to 5pm. Starting pay rate is $43/hr. In this role, you will oversee the health and wellness of students, providing nursing care, managing health records, administering medications, and addressing health-related issues as they arise.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to students in a school setting
• Manage and maintain student health records
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Address health-related issues and emergencies as they arise
• Promote a healthy school environment

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New York
• Experience working in a school or pediatric healthcare setting preferred
• Strong assessment and clinical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
• BLS certification required
