Position Details
Location: Hybrid in Dallas County, TX
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
Work Setting: 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
School Year: 2026–2027
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations to support special education eligibility and educational planning.
- Complete evaluations for students suspected of eligibility under Emotional Disability (ED), Autism (AU), and Other Health Impairment (OHI/ADHD) classifications.
- Interpret assessment results and prepare comprehensive written evaluation reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
- Provide psychological services, including counseling, behavioral consultation, crisis intervention, and social-emotional support.
- Conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and assist in developing Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Participate in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings and collaborate on IEP development and implementation.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers regarding academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
- Support multidisciplinary teams through data analysis, progress monitoring, and evidence-based recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with IDEA, Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, and district policies.
Qualifications
- Master's or Specialist-level degree in School Psychology or a related field
- Valid Texas Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) credential
- Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting
- Experience evaluating students for ED, Autism, and OHI/ADHD eligibility
- Knowledge of special education regulations, evaluation procedures, and ARD processes
- Experience providing counseling, behavioral consultation, and psychological services preferred
- Strong report-writing, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage evaluation timelines and maintain compliance with district and state requirements
